Al-Hasakah, Syria, July 12, 2017. He Kurdish Autonomous Administration held a training course during summer for teachers working in schools in the Kurdish Autonomous Administration-controlled areas in the al-Hasakah governorate, Northeastern Syria. The course was held after the Education Committee of the Kurdish Autonomous Administration printed new curricula for student of primary school. The new curricula will be taught in the next school year instead of the Syrian government curricula. SMART reporter said that officials in the education field stated that students will study curricula in their language, as school classes will be divided according to the language of the curricula. Earlier in 2015, the Kurdish Autonomous Administration imposed Kurdish curricula in schools for first, second, and third grades.
