On Sept. 30, 2017, the Syrian National Liberation Front of the Free Syrian Army refuses to open the Naseeb border crossing with Jordan to serve the Syrian regime. The Front explained that it will not allow an agreement that ignores the will of the Syrian people and the revolution to pass.
On Sep. 27, 2017, informed sources told SMART that the Free Army stipulated that the Jordanian Government obtain a portion of the profits from the border crossing to reopen it, at a time when Jordan complained of losses of over one billion dollars from closing the crossing.
On Apr. 1, 2015, the military factions gained control of the Naseeb border crossing after conflicts with the loyalist forces, following thefts and looting of private and public properties, prompting the people of Dara'a to condemn these acts, while Jordan closed the crossing.
