Al-Rastan, Syria, Feb 26, 2018, Poet Abu Basel, a resident of the city of Rastan, which is 23 kilometers north of the city of Homs in Central Syria, delivers a revolutionary poem, in which he sends a message to the people of the eastern Ghouta of the Syrian capital Damascus. The poet salutes the eastern Ghouta people for their heroism and their steadfastness in the face of the constant bombing by the loyalist forces and its allies. Russian and loyalist have been bombing the towns of Eastern Ghouta by different types of weapons, since February 18th. The bombing kills and injures dozens of civilians every day, and leads to the destruction of infrastructure and forced closure of hospitals and significant bread bakeries. Ghouta has been under siege of the Syrian government for five years.
