Damascus, Syria, May 3, 2018. Internally displaced persons IDPs start evacuating the towns of Yalda, Babila, Beit Sahim in Southern Damascus. Buses headed to the gathering place in the town of Beit Sahim near the way to Damascus international airport, before heading to Northern Syria. A local source reported that more than 20 buses entered the three towns to transport the first group of IDPs, which will include about 2,700 IDPs accompanied by a delegation of Russian military police. The Russian police will supervise the evacuation process. The source noted that the first group comprises Palestinian refugees in the town or” IDPs from al-Golan.” The group also includes fighters of factions of Aknaf Beit al-made, Damascus Division, Jaysh al-Islam, Liwaa Sham al-Rasoul .The IDPs will head to areas controlled by Euphrates Shield Operation in Aleppo or Idlib governorate. The evacuation coincides with a continuous military campaign by government forces against outposts of the Islamic State in Southern Damascus. The removal also follows displacing agreements in Damascus surroundings and Rif Dimashq governorate. The most recent deal was in Eastern Qalamoun area; however, the transaction was proceeded by replacing civilians and military factions from Eastern Ghouta.
