Al-Quneitra, Syria, July 14, 2018. Several displaced families from the Daraa governorate take shelter in abandoned military barracks of the Syrian government forces in the town of al-Mualaka in al-Quneitra, Southern Syria. The families took shelter in the barracks due to a lack of housing for forcibly displaced Syrians. An internally displaced woman who introduced herself as Um Khalid said that they moved into the barracks in the border area with the occupied Golan Heights after they realized there was no support from humanitarian relief organizations. Um Khalid added that the families suffer in harsh conditions and basic service are unavailable. A month ago, the Syrian government forces and Russia launched a military campaign on Daraa, killing dozens of civilians and displacing thousands to the border areas with Jordan and the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights. Characters by appearance: 1 - Um Khalid, a displaced woman from Daraa. 2 - Khudr al-Ali, a displaced man from Daraa.
