Idlib, Syria, Nov. 18, 2018. The Kafr Nubl Sports Club hosts a volleyball match between the al-Deir al-Sharqi and the Shaykh Mustafa teams during a tournament for league one clubs from the city of Kafr Nubl, Southern Idlib, Northern Syria. Ammar al-Saeed, head of the sports federation in the area, said that 22 teams divided to four groups participated in the tournament, which aimed to "distract people and players from the atmosphere of war and injustice." Al-Saeed called on for humanitarian organizations to support sports inside Syria. The areas controlled by the Free Syrian Army and the Islamist battalions hosted several sports activities and tournaments for several local bodies active in Northern Syria, such as the Civil Defense, hospital staff, and humanitarian and relief organizations' staff to activate communication between the participants and create an atmosphere of joy.
