Al-Hasakah, Syria, Dec. 9, 2018. About ten cashiers in Ras al-Ayn in Northwestern al-Hasakah, Northeastern Syria, were cheated by about one million dollars. The media officer of the Asayish forces in Ras al-Ayn, Rebro Bero, said that they received a complaint through the Public Prosecution against a person, called Imad Adib al-Hamawi, claiming that he cheated some families and cashiers. Bero added that the Asayish's Anti-Organized Crime Branch is doing the necessary investigations to detect the circumstances of the incident and that his name and photo were circulated at all checkpoints to arrest him. Thefts have recently spread in public roads in the governorate of al-Hasakah. Unknown persons stole and beat some young men on the al-Rai road between the al-Dardara Bridge and the al-Rukba village near Tal Tamer city northwest of al-Hasakah, injuring two of them and stealing their money and mobile phones.
