Al-Qamishli, Syria, Jan. 21, 2019. The Kurdish Autonomous Administration opens the first hospital for heart and eye diseases in the city of al-Qamishli, northern al-Hasakah, Northeastern Syria. Tariq Hamandi, the joint head of the Autonomous Administration's Health Authority, said that the hospital will charge half the regular price for treatments. Residents in the governorate of al-Hasakah and Syrian Democratic Forces-controlled areas complain about the spread of chest and skin diseases due to the primitive oil refining in the area.
