Idlib, Syria, Jan. 21, 2019. Displaced children in the camp of Kafrlusin village on the Syrian-Turkish border near Idlib, Northern Syria, collect plastic waste from dumps to sell them, in order to secure the livelihood of their families. One of the children working at the dump, Yousef al-Bashir, said that he collects nylon bags from the dump throughout the day, for 500 Syrian pounds. Residents of camps in Northern Syria suffer from poor conditions and lack of services, amidst appeals to humanitarian organizations and local councils to ease their suffering by provide vaccines, medicine and heaters without receiving a response.
