Students of the International Salvation University in the city of Maarrat al-Nu'man near Idlib, Northern Syria, protest the Higher Education Councils of the Salvation Government decision to close their university and stopped the exams in it.
A student at the university’s nursing department, Muhammad al-Ammor, said that the Salvation Government’s decision to close the university is a wrong and arbitrary decision. The student called on the Higher Education Council in the government to present the required standards for completing the university's license.
On Monday, the Salvation Government issued a decision to close the unlicensed private universities in the governorate of Idlib and refer their files to the judiciary and the teaching staff to the disciplinary board. The decision will also work to settle the students’ situation of the closed universities.
