Idlib, Syria, Jan. 31, 2019. Dozens of students from the Salvation International University in the city of Maarrat al-Nu’man, southern Idlib, Northern Syria, protest for the fourth day in a row, denouncing the decision of the Salvation Government, which operates in the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS)-controlled area. The decision calls to close the Salvation International University. Ahmad Daghim, a student at the university’s media college, said that the decision to close the university is arbitrary and unjustified and will affect 1,100 students in the university. On Monday, the Salvation Government issued a decision to close all unlicensed private universities in Idlib. The Salvation Government sent the cases to the court and the educational staff to a disciplinary board.
