Idlib, Syria, Jan. 10, 2020. Hundreds of people demonstrated in the city of Idlib, Northern Syria, against the Syrian government forces and their allies, expressing solidarity with people in areas under bombings in southern Idlib. Tasnim Fatah, a demonstrator, said that they demonstrate to highlight the suffering of thousands of displaced people, who fled their areas due to the Syrian government forces bombings. These displaced people suffer from harsh conditions and bad weather. Since Nov. 25, 2019, supported by Russia, the Syrian government forces and their allied militias have been launching a ground attack on the southern and eastern Idlib countrysides. The Syrian government forces gained control of dozens of villages and towns in the area after shelling with different kinds of weapons.
