Idlib, Syria, Jan. 15, 2020. The Syrian government's warplanes launch airstrikes on the city of Ariha near Idlib, Northern Syria. A Civil Defense's team leader, Abdul Karim al-Akhras, said that the airstrikes injured seven civilians, including two children, and destroyed houses and shops. Al-Akhras added that Civil Defense teams transferred the wounded to the hospitals. Last night, the Russian warplanes returned to shell the cities, towns and villages in Idlib governorate, for the first time after the truce agreed between Russia and Turkey in the governorate. The Turkish Defense Ministry announced a ceasefire in the Idlib governorate starting from Jan. 12, 2020.
