Idlib, Syria, Feb. 28, 2020. On Thursday night, a suspected Russian airstrike killed and injured dozens of Turkish soldiers in a Turkish military post in the village of Balyun of the Zawiya Mountain area, southern Idlib, Northern Syria. Exclusive sources said that more than 70 injured Turkish soldiers, along with the dead bodies of more than 30 others, arrived at a hospital in the city of Reyhanli, Southern Turkey, after an airstrike hit the Balyun municipality building, of which Turkey took as a military post. The Syrian government forces and their allied militias, supported by Russia, are launching a ground military attack on the southern and eastern countryside of Idlib and the southern and western countryside of Aleppo. The Syrian government gained control of dozens of villages and towns in the region, after intense shelling. The shelling killed and injured hundreds of civilians, and displaced hundreds of thousands of others.
