Deir Ez-Zor- SMART

Free Syrian Army(FSA) commanders, who were under Euphrates Shield Operation in Northern Aleppo, joined the Syrian Democratic Forces(SDF) to fight the Islamic State in Deir Ez- Zor, Eastern Syria. The SDF is an alliance of factions and military forces, sponsored by the United States, operating in Northern and Northeastern Syria.

The military commander of the "Deir Ez-Zor military" of SDF, Ahmad Khabil told SMART that Issam al-Dabbab, nicknamed Abu al-Haytham, the former commander of Mu'tah's army and Abu Ishaq al-Ahwaz, the commander of the Al-Ahwar Brigade, and other leaders, arrived at their homes and joined to the Syrian Democratic Forces.

On Sunday, Sharfan Darwish, the commander of the military council of Manbij and its countryside, said that the (FSA) fighters reached Manbij, 95 kilometers east of Aleppo after they escaped from the areas controlled by Euphrates" Shield' operation" factions.
