United Kingdom: “We are working with our allies to respond to the chemical attack in Douma”

On Saturday evening, the Syrian government warplanes launched a toxic gas attack on the city of Douma, killing dozens of civilians while wounding hundreds of with suffocation, according to activists and medical sources. Most local and international bodies condemned the attack. France also called for an immediate Security Council meeting. The British mission to the United Nations expected the meeting to be held on Monday.
The British Foreign Secretary said that the U.K. is in contact with its allies and the users of the chemical weapons must be held accountable, The Turkish Deputy Prime Minister, Bakr Bozdag, directly accused the Syrian government of committing the massacre in Douma and called on the international community to respond.
