The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) documented at least 15 massacres in Syria during July 2018. The Syrian government and Russia committed eight of them.

The SNHR report mentioned that the Syrian government committed seven massacres in Daraa and al-Quneitra, and a suspected Russian airstrike was responsible for a massacre in the city of al-Mayadin. The Islamic State (IS) committed five massacres in al-Suwayda and one in Deir ez-Zor, in addition to another massacre committed by other parties.

The SNHR added that 219 people died, including 30 women and 38 children. The Syrian government killed 52 civilians, Russia killed six, and the IS killed 155; six were killed by unknown parties.

The SNHR has documented 218 massacres from January to the end of July 2018. The SNHR defines a massacre as "an attack that kills at least five innocent people at once."

The SNHR issued several reports documenting the violations in Syria in July. The reports mentioned 647 arrests, 21 attacks on vital centers, and documented 528 barrel bombs dropped by Syrian government warplanes.
