New convoy of forcibly displaced people prepares to leave Daraa towards Idlib
Turkey - SMART
On Saturday, a new convoy is preparing to transfer people who reject the agreement between the Free Syrian Army (FSA) and Russia in Daraa, Southern Syria, to leave to Idlib, Northern Syria.
In a statement he published in WhatsApp groups on Friday evening, a leader in the Revolutionary Army, Yasser al-Danifat, nicknamed Abu Bakr, said that the convoy would start on Saturday morning from the city of Jassem.
Abu Bakr stated that this convoy would be the last to leave from Southern Syria towards Idlib.
Abu Bakr added that each person is allowed to take personal stuff, individual weapons, and three ammunition stores.
The convoy that left the city of Nawa on July 27 was supposed to be the last one that leaves from Southern to Northern Syria.
On July 6, 2018, the FSA factions reached an agreement with Russia on the governorate of Daraa. The agreement included a ceasefire and FSA fighters handing over their heavy weapons. The agreement also included that the fighters who refuse to sign it will be evacuated to Northern Syria.
