Deir Ez-Zor - SMART
On Wednesday, Iranian militias, allied to the Syrian government, broke and stole houses of former fighters of the Free Syrian Army in the city of Albukamal in Deir Ez-Zor, Eastern Syria.
A local source told SMART that a militias' patrol raided houses in the Nufouteh and Baghdad streets and the area near the al-Shafi'i and Mustafa mosques. The patrol destroyed the houses and stole their contents.
The source stated that the houses are empty and there are no residents, noting that the patrol continues its work so far.
Another local source told SMART that the Islamic State attacked loyalist forces' bases in the desert of the al-Kashmeh and Duweir towns, east of Deir Ez-Zor, killing and wounding a number of them. No additional details were given.
On Tuesday, activists said that the Fatemiyoun Brigade, which is a pro-Syrian government Shiite militia, launched arrests campaign in the city of Albukamal and the village of Suwaya'ah (125 kilometers east of Deir Ez-Zor).
