Turkey - SMART

On Thursday, the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced that new joint steps between Turkey, Russia, and Iran would be taken about Syria.

Erdogan said in a speech at the Turkish-Iranian Business Forum in Ankara "After the summits of Russia, Ankara, and Tehran, we will continue our journey to hold the fourth summit (about Syria), because we have to establish security in the region." according to Anadolu.

Erdogan did not clarify the details of the new steps, but he stressed that Ankara and Tehran have a strong will to increase cooperation in this regard.

Earlier, Russia, Turkey, and Iran called for the constitutional committee of Syria to convene early next year.
