Al-Hasakah - SMART

On Wednesday, a traffic accident killed three civilians and injured eight others on the international road near the city of al-Hasakah, Northeastern Syria.

The director of the Farman Hospital in the city of al-Qamishli, Northern al-Hasakah, Iyad Abdul Karim, reported that a large truck crashed with a bus at the Sheikh fuel station near the village of Tal Arbid, killing three civilians and injuring eight others.

Abdul Karim added that the hospital received four wounded people, one of them was slightly injured; the doctors are operating surgeries to other two of them. Four other wounded were transferred to the national hospital in al-Hasakah.

At the end of last September, a traffic accident killed four civilians and injured a woman on the al-Qamishli-al-Malikiya road, Northern al-Hasakah.

Shelling and battles that took place in Syria for more than seven years destroyed the road infrastructure, and as the maintenance of the roads stopped, many traffic accidents occurred. On April 26, a traffic accident of a bus heading to the city of al-Raqqa killed and injured 30 civilians.
