Missile shelling kills FSA fighter and injures others in village, northern Aleppo
Aleppo - SMART
On Friday, a missile shelling killed a Free Syrian Army (FSA) fighter and injured others in the village of Kemar in the Afrin region near Aleppo, Northern Syria.
The spokesman for the Syrian National Army of the Interim Syrian Government, Major Yousef Hamoud, reported that a thermal missile targeted a site of the Hamzah Brigade in the village of Kemar, killing one fighter and injuring five others.
Hamoud added that the missile attack came from the village of Soughani, northern Aleppo, where the Syrian government forces and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) are stationed. Hamoud was unable to determine who was responsible for the attack.
On Thursday, the SDF shelled the town of Kaljebrin in Aleppo, killing two National Army fighters and injuring another.
The FSA and the SDF repeatedly clash in northern Aleppo, especially after the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced that Turkey would start a military operation against the Kurdish People’s Protection Units east of the Euphrates River with the participation of the FSA.
