Unknown persons assassinate heads of Syrian government municipalities in Daraa

Unknown persons assassinated two heads of Syrian government municipalities in the governorate of Daraa, Southern Syria. A former Free Syrian Army (FSA) commander survived another assassination attempt in the governorate.
On Friday, local sources reported that unknown persons opened fire on the head of the municipality in the town of al-Musayfrah, southern Daraa, Abdullah al-Hariri, killing him immediately. Also, unknown persons in a Hilux car ran over the head of the municipality in al-Muzayrib, western Daraa, Ahmad Nabulsi, killing him.
The sources added that unknown persons opened fire on the former FSA Ahfad al-Rasul Brigade commander, Abu Taha al-Mahamid, in Daraa al-Balad, injuring him severely. He was transferred to Al-Watani Hospital.
On Wednesday night, unknown persons assassinated the head of the al-Yadouda village council (8 kilometers northwest of Daraa).
Assassinations and explosions have continued in the governorate of Daraa, killing and injuring military officials and fighters, amid insecurity after the Syrian government gained control of the province.
