Hayat Tahrir al-Sham arrest people accused of belonging to IS in Idlib

On Wednesday, The Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) that they arrested five people accused of belonging to the Islamic State (IS) in Idlib, Northern Syria.

The HTS said that their fighters raided homes in the village of Kufria and arrested people accused of belonging to the IS, including a person who escaped from one of their prisons Previously.

The Salvation Government operating in areas controlled by the HTS said that the Interior Ministry seized a factory to smelt electrical tension wires in Ram Hamdan, north of Idlib, confiscated an estimated 15 tons of raw and smelting wire and arrested the factory officials.

The Salvation Government added that the sale and smelting of the wires are prevented in Northern Syria and it subjects the seller and the buyer to legal sanctions by a decision issued by the Government previously.

The HTS launched raids in Ma’arshamarin and the village of Talmans south of Idlib to arrest wanted men on the charges of theft and kidnapping, which led to fire between the parties and the loss of victims. The Ma’arshamarin local council denounced this action.

The HTS launched campaigns of raids, arrests and other security, under the pretext of arrest and prosecution of persons accused of theft and kidnapping, and others accused of belonging to the IS or work for the Syrian government forces or the Free Syrian Army factions which they often clashed with them.
