Syrian government forces artillery shelling injures two in al-Lataminah town, Hama

On Thursday, two civilians, a husband and wife, were killed from an artillery shelling by the Syrian government forces on the town of al-Lataminah, northern Hama, Central Syria.

Local activists reported that the Syrian government forces based in the cities of Souran and Halfaya, and in the villages of al-Masasnah and Zillin, targeted al-Lataminah with more than 40 artillery shells, injuring a young woman and her young husband, who received critical injuries and was translated to the hospital for emergency surgery.

Also, the Russian forces based in the village of Qobaybat al-Huda bombed the cities of al-Lataminah and Kafr Zayta, destroying property only, according to activists.

Activists also said that the Syrian government forces targeted the village of al-Janabrah with missile and artillery shells, several of them included napalm, without causing casualties among the civilians.

According to activists, the Syrian government forces targeted the city of Mourik and the villages of Hasraya, Latmin, al-Arba'in, Abu Ra'id, al-Sakher, and al Taubah with several artillery and missile shells from nearby bases and checkpoints.

On Wednesday, a Russian artillery shelling on the city of Mourik, northern Hama, injuring two women.

The Syrian government forces frequently target northern Hama with artillery and missile shells, despite that the area is included in the de-militarized zone agreement concluded by Russia and Turkey in Sept. 17, 2018.
