Aleppo - SMART

On Friday, dozens of demonstrators demanded to execute the killers of police and general security members in the town of Soran, 41 kilometers north of Aleppo, Northern Syria.

The demonstrators marched on the town's streets and cried out demanding to execute the killers of three police members. The demonstrators also raised banners that read, "The killers deserve death."

On Dec. 31, 2018, three unknown armed persons attacked a checkpoint of the police and general security in the town of Soran and killed three police members.

The areas controlled by the factions of the operations of the Olive Branch and the Euphrates Shield have been home to frequent assassinations and explosions that killed and injured dozens of civilians and Free Syrian Army fighters recently. Activists accused the Islamic State and the Syrian Democratic Forces of standing behind the explosions.
