International Coalition shelling kills eight women and children from one family in Deir al-Zor

The International Coalition against the Islamic State (IS) shelled the village of al-Baguz in southeastern Deir al-Zor, Eastern Syria, killing eight women and children from one family.
On Wednesday, local sources reported that the shelling killed three women and five children from the al-Kadran family. The shelling targeted a gathering of civilians on the outskirts of the village were trying to move to the areas controlled by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
With International Coalition support, the SDF is trying to expel the IS from its last area in Deir al-Zor. On Jan. 23, 2019, the SDF seized the village of al-Mozan, after seizing the town of al-Susah.
