Commander of National Army killed in explosion, Aleppo
On Sunday, a bomb explosion killed a commander of Syrian National Army , northern Aleppo, Northern Syria.
Riyad al-Khattib, a media official in National Army reported that unknown bombers planted a bomb in the al-Shamiya Front’ commander Mahmoud Hussein Handawi's vehicle in the village of Kaljabreen of the Azaz area.
Al-Khattib added that Civil Defense transported Hundawi to hospital in the city of al-Ra’i; however, Handawi died hours later due to his critical injury in the legs.
Explosions are frequent in northern and eastern Aleppo, killing and injuring dozens of civilians and Free Syrian Army fighters and commanders. The residents accuse the Islamic State or the Syrian Democratic Forces of of responsibility for the explosions. Police and local councils take precautionary measures to prevent such explosions.
