Explosion kills three Turkish soldiers in Northeastern Syria

On Thursday night, Turkey announced that an explosion killed three Turkish soldiers in Northeastern Syria.
Turkish Anadolu news agency quoted a Defense Ministry statement as saying that a car bomb explosion killed the soldiers as they were on a combing mission on a road, Northeastern Syria.
The Turkish Defense Ministry did not specify the location of the explosion. On Jan. 16, 2020, a truck bomb explosion killed seven Free Syrian Army fighters and two Turkish soldiers in the town of Suluk in the al-Raqqa governorate, Northeastern Syria.
Car and motorcycle bombs explosions have frequently taken place in the National Army-controlled areas in al-Raqqa and al-Hasakah. On Nov. 2019, a car bomb explosion injured two civilians in the city of Tal Abyad in al-Raqqa.
