Syrian government accuses Israel of shelling bases in Homs

On Monday night, the Syrian government accused Israel of shelling bases in the Homs governorate, Central Syria.
Syrian government media channels reported that the Syrian government forces responded to an Israeli missile shelling and shot down several missiles over the city of Palmyra in Homs, without information about casualties so far.
The Israeli Defense Forces did not issue any statement about targeting military bases in Syria.
On Mar. 31, 2020, missile shelling targeted the Shayrat military airport in Homs and the Syrian government accused Israel of conducting the attack.
Israel has targeted Syrian government forces bases and Iranian convoys and bases in Syria. On Jan. 15, 2019, Benjamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister of Israel, said, “"I'm telling you, get out of there fast. We won’t stop attacking."
