International Coalition's airstrikes kill and injure fighters of Iranian-backed militias in Syria and Iraq

On Wednesday, airstrikes from the International Coalition against the Islamic State killed 15 fighters of Iranian-backed militias and injured others in the Deir al-Zor governorate, Eastern Syria.
Local sources reported to SMART that suspected International Coalition’s airstrikes hit a convoy on its way from Iraq to the al-Thalathat area in the al-Bukamal desert, eastern Deir al-Zor. The source added that the airstrikes killed 15 fighters and injured others.
Iraqi, Afghani, and Iranian militias supporting the Syrian government forces are deployed to Deir al-Zor, especially in the city of al-Bukamal. The militias use civilians’ houses as headquarters, and to house their families as well.
Israel has bombed headquarters and convoys of Iranian-backed militias in Syria on different occasions. Israel demanded Iran to withdraw from Syria instantly. Israel Katz, the Israeli Intelligence and Transportation minister, said that Israel is now involved in public and open confrontation with Iran and it will not allow Tehran to remain in Syria.
