Unknown persons shell house of military faction commander in al-Suwayda governorate

Unknown persons targeted the house of a local military faction commander using an artillery shell in the Syrian government-controlled governorate of al-Suwayda, Southern Syria.
On Wednesday, local sources reported to SMART that unknown persons targeted the home of the military commander, Mahran Obaid, who is close to Syrian government security forces, using an RPG shell. The sources added that the shell caused only damage.
Syrian government forces-controlled areas are home to a general state of security absence, extensive use of unregulated weapons, and high crime, robbery, and kidnapping for ransom rates, amidst an absence of the role of Syrian government security forces, while activists accuse the latter of facilitating the work of gangs and criminals.
The al-Suwayda governorate has become home for kidnapping, stealing, and assassination incidents, amidst the spread of unregulated weapons. The residents accuse Syrian government forces-backed ganges of being responsible for such incidents.
