Landmine explosion kills two people in Quneitra governorate
Quneitra - SMART
On Sunday, a landmine explosion, left behind after battles, killed two young men in the Quneitra governorate, southern Syria.
Private source reported to SMART that the explosion killed the two brothers Raed and Rafaat Mazrouk Mustafa, while they were working in a farmland south of the village of Hader, 25 kilometers north of the city of Quneitra.
The sources added that the area is planted with landmines, as people called on the Syrian government forces to demine it several times.
Earlier, a device explosion injured a man in the town of Naba al-Sakher in Quneitra.
In July 2018, the Syrian government forces gained total control of the Quneitra governorate after reaching an agreement with Free Syrian Army factions, which used to control several villages near the border with Golan, occupied by Israel since 1967.
