Unknown drone targets HTS vehicle on Sarmin-Saraqib road, eastern Idlib, injuring four members

On Thursday, an unknown drone targeted a vehicle of the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) near the city of Sarmin, nine kilometers east of the city of Idlib, Northern Syria, injuring four HTS members.
The HTS is an Islamist opposition faction previously known as the al-Nusra Front, consisting of fighting groups including the Haqq Brigade, Jabhat Ansar al-Din, and Jaysh al-Sunnah.
Local activists reported to SMART that an unknown drone targeted an HTS vehicle carrying four members of the Talha Legion, who are displaced from the Homs governorate. The four members were injured and transported to a hospital, with no further information about their health condition.
On Dec. 3, 2019, suspected US-led International Coalition warplanes bombed the village of Atmah near Idlib, killing an HTS commander and his escort.
On Aug. 28, 2019, a suspected International Coalition missile shelling in a base containing more than 45 members near the city of Idlib killed and injured dozens of the Ansar al-Tawhid Islamist faction. A similar shelling on the village of Barisha in Idlib killed Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, General Commander of the Islamic State.
