International Coalition carries out raid campaign east of Deir al-Zor

On Thursday, military forces of the International Coalition and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) carried out a raid campaign against the Islamic State (IS) east of Deir al-Zor, Eastern Syria.
Media activists reported to SMART that the SDF is carrying out the campaign with the support of International Coalition's drones. The activists noted that the forces participating in the campaign closed the roads between villages and towns in the area linking the city of al-Shaddadi and the town of al-Baghuz.
The activists added that the forces participating in the campaign have arrested hundreds of people accused of financing and belonging to the IS in the towns of al-Busayrah, Dashisha, Thebyan, and al-Shuhayl.
On May 18, 2020, a private source said that shooting killed a person in the village of al-Shuhayl near Deir al-Zor, Eastern Syria, during a raid and arrest operation launched by the SDF in the town of al-Shuhayl and the village of al-Rez, with International Coalition aircraft's support.
On May 17, 2020, local sources said that the International Coalition carried out an air landing operation in the town of al-Busayrah, 33 kilometers east of Deir al-Zor, Eastern Syria, while the SDF was launching a raid and arrest campaign in the town.
