Car bomb kills and injures people in Ras al-Ayn city, north of al-Hasakah

On Friday, a car bomb killed and injured about seven people in the city of Ras al-Ayn, 71 kilometers north of the Syrian National Army (SNA)-controlled city of al-Hasakah, Northeastern Syria.
Activists and local sources reported to SMART that a car bomb explosion near the National Hospital of the city killed an SNA fighter and child, in addition to injuring five people.
The sources added that the explosion destroyed and burned property, as SNA fighter and residents worked on putting down the fire.
Explosions became frequent the SNA-controlled area in Northeastern Syria. The SNA gained control of these areas during a military operation launched by Turkey against the Syrian Democratic Forces On Oct. 9, 2019. During this operation, the SNA gained control of the cities of Tal Abyad and Ras al-Ayn, in addition to dozens of villages in the al-Hasakah and al-Raqqa governorates.
