Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) members killed a civilian and injured two children while storming a house in the town of al-Azmo, west of the city of Aleppo, Northern Syria.
The HTS is an Islamist opposition faction previously known as the al-Nusra Front, consisting of fighting groups including the Haqq Brigade, Jabhat Ansar al-Din, and Jaysh al-Sunnah.
On Friday, the brother of the victim said that at night, the HTS members stormed the house of his brother, Abdul Qader al-Shami, and directly targeted him with gunfire as he attempted to escape.
The brother added that the HTS shooting injured two children, who were transported to the Bab al-Hawa Hospital, mentioning that he does not know the reason behind storming the house of his brother, who did not receive any search warrant by the HTS as well.
On Mar. 17, 2020, HTS members killed a civilian and injured two others near the city of Atarib, western Aleppo. HTS violations became frequent in its controlled areas, including detention, killing and suppression against media, and medical staff, in addition to workers of humanitarian and relief organizations.
