Civil Defense extinguishes fire broke out in forest east of Aleppo
Aleppo - SMART
The Civil Defense extinguished a fire in the forest of the Ghanama village, east of the al-Ghandoura town in the Jarabulus area, 106 kilometers northeast of Aleppo, Northern Syria.
On Friday, the Civil Defense director in the town of al-Ghandoura, Hadwan Abu al-Huda, reported to SMART that Civil Defense teams extinguished a fire that affected about three dunams of poplar trees in the vicinity of the Ghanama village (106 kilometers northeast of Aleppo).
Abu al-Huda stated that the Civil Defense quickly extinguished the fire in order to prevent it from spreading to larger areas, noting that they have not known the cause of the fire until the moment.
Fires repeatedly broke out in Northern Syria, especially in the displacement camps, due to the widespread use of unrefined fuel, in addition to the lack of awareness for children on how to use fuel. Therefore, fires broke out, killing and injuring a number of civilians, including children and women.
