People demonstrate against SDF and Syrian government in town east of Deir al-Zor

On Thursday, hundreds of people demonstrated against the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in the town of Ghranij, east of Deir al-Zor, Eastern Syria.
An official in the Deir al-Zor military council, Mahmoud Ghranij, reported to SMART that dozens of people demonstrated against the SDF demanding the improvement of living conditions.
The source added that the demonstrators demanded the release of detainees in SDF's prisons. The demonstrators raised pictures of detainees, and banners against the Syrian regime and the Iranian presence in Syria.
On Tuesday, dozens of people demonstrated against the Kurdish Autonomous Administration in the village of al-Hawaij, west of Deir al-Zor, Eastern Syria.
On June 24, 2020, dozens of residents demonstrated in the town of Abu Hamam (75 kilometers east of Deir al-Zor) against the SDF, demanding better services, such as education, and to fighting corruption in the Autonomous Administration's official departments.
On June 8, 2020, people demonstrated in the villages of al-Azba, al-Sabiha, al-Suwaidan, al-Jazeera, and Jdeidah, protesting poor living conditions and administrative corruption in the local councils of the Autonomous Administration.
Several demonstrations rose in the SDF-controlled areas in Deir al-Zor to demand the improvement of health and education services. The demonstrators also demanded the SDF to allow them to refine oil amidst the lack of job opportunities in the region.
