Homs - SMART

On Wednesday, ten children and two women were injured after an artillery bombing by the loyalist forces on the town of Talbisa and the village of Al Ghantu, 11 km north of Homs, Central Syria.

The Al Ghantu hospital's media officer said that three of the children's injuries were minor, pointing out that the artillery bombing, which targeted residential districts, was from the loyalist bases in Akrad Dasnieh and the military college.

The loyalist forces bombed, using heavy artillery shells, the Al Taiba al-Gharbia village in Taldo, Northwestern Homs, from their bases in Maremin checkpoint, according to activists.

Earlier the same day, a civilian was killed after an artillery bombing by the loyalist forces on Taldo in Hola.

Loyalist forces continue to bomb the towns and villages of the Northern Homs countryside despite the de-escalation agreement, announced by Russia in August 2017, which includes the areas controlled by Islamist factions and the Free Syrian Army in Northern Homs.
