Hama - SMART

On Monday, Syrian loyalist forces shelled the village of al-Hawiz, 54 kilometers west of Hama, Central Syria, wounding a civilian.

Local activists told SMART that the loyalist forces stationed in the town of Shatha shelled the village using heavy artillery, wounding a civilian and burning his car. The wounded civilian was transported to a field hospital.

Last Friday night, suspected Russian warplanes bombed the town of Kafr Nabuda, wounding four civilians.

The Syrian government and Russia continue to bomb the areas beyond government control in the countryside of Hama, killing and injuring civilians, while destroying the infrastructure of the region.
