Syrian government shelling kills and injures civilians in Kafr Hamra village, Aleppo

On Tuesday, Syrian government artillery and rocket shelling killed and injured 11 civilians in the village of Kafr Hamra, 7 kilometers south of Aleppo, Northern Syria.

The Civil Defense volunteer Ahmad al-Khateeb reported that the government forces used 30 artillery missiles and a thermal rocket, killing three civilians and injuring eight others.

Al-Khateeb added that they transported a severely injured civilian to the hospital of Bab al-Hawa on the Syrian-Turkish border; however, the rest of the injured received necessary first aid and returned to their homes.

On Apr. 22, 2018, government artillery forces shelled the same village, moderately injuring two civilians. The Civil Defense transported the injured to a nearby hospital.

Government forces bomb opposition-controlled areas in the Aleppo countryside on a regular basis, killing and injuring civilians and destroying private and public properties as well as service facilities.
