Aleppo - SMART

The internally displaced persons expelled Russian delegation from the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG)-controlled Bardakhan camp in the village of Fafin, 20 kilometers north of Aleppo, Northern Syria, after offering them food aid.

Activists reported that the camp was established two months ago. Thousands of displaced families from Afrin live in the camp. The families expelled the Russian delegation and refused the offer. They accused the commission of collaborating with Turkey, which displaced them from their villages. They chanted slogans such as, “We want Afrin, we don’t want your help.”

Intense battles between the YPG against the Turkish Army and the Free Syrian Army (FSA), under the Olive Branch operation. The FSA launched the service and gained control over the whole area.
