On Saturday, a landmine explosion in the city of Sarmin, seven kilometers east of Idlib, Northern Syria, injures one civilian.

Activists said that the landmine exploded near a civilian's house, when he drove his car over it. The civilian lost his leg in the explosion, and he was rushed to a nearby medical center.

On May 17, 2018, a car bomb explosion on the road between the city of Kafr Nubl and the town of Kansafrah (35 kilometers south of Idlib) kills a civilian and injures others, including one woman and one child.

Recently, the Idlib governorate is home to several explosive devices and car bomb explosions, which targeted military leaders and fighters from the Free Syrian Army and the Islamic factions, in addition to killing and injuring dozens of civilians. Unknown persons carried out most of these explosions.
