Aleppo - SMART

On Wednesday, artillery shelling killed and injured 11 civilians, including children, in the city of Aleppo, which is controlled by the Syrian government forces.

Local sources reported that the shelling killed four civilians and injured seven others, including three children, in the streets of Tishreen and al-Nile.

The sources noted that the shelling came from the al-Zahraa neighborhood, which the Syrian government forces and opposition factions jointly control.

Pro-Syrian government media outlets and Russian news agencies accused the opposition factions of the shelling; however, Ahmad Hamaher, the manager of the media office of the Noureddin Zinki Movement, which is deployed near Aleppo, denied the accusations.

On June 4, 2018, the Aleppo Army shelled neighborhoods controlled by the Syrian government forces in Aleppo, injuring six civilians.
