On Wednesday, the Free Police and general security troops increased the security patrols in the city of Azaz in Aleppo, Northern Syria, as the Muslim holiday Eid al-Fitr approaches.  

The Free Police deployed an increased number of patrols in the city and blocked major roads leading to the central market due to fear of explosions.

Police officer Walid Hilal said that the aim of increasing the patrols is to sustain security in the city and prevent the potential action of groups affiliated with the Kurdish People’s Protection Units or the Islamic State.

A civilian expressed satisfaction with the deployment of Free Police officers in the streets to protect the city against explosions.

Remarkable crowds have been recorded in the markets of the city of al-Bab, especially after thousands of internally displaced persons from Rif Dimashq and the Homs countryside arrived in the city.

On Wednesday, the Free Police and general security raised an alert and reinforced troops in the Northern Aleppo countryside as Eid al-Fitr approaches. The police leadership in al-Bab city announced its readiness to respond to civilians' complaints.
