Idlib - SMART

The loyalist forces targeted villages and towns in Western Idlib, Northern Syria, with dozens of missiles and phosphorus shells, and bombed the village of al-Hbeit, Southern Idlib, injuring a civilian in the village.

Hussam Zleito, the Civil Defense commander of the town of Badama, Western Idlib, reported that the loyalist forces centralizing in Northern Lattakia targeted the towns of Badama and al-Najiyah with about 50 artillery and phosphorus shells over the past two days, destroying civilian property and burning farmed and forestlands.

Local activists said that the loyalist forces centralizing in the nearby Breidij checkpoint targeted the village of al-Hbeit, Southern Idlib, with artillery and missile shells, causing minor civilian injuries. The civilian was transported to a nearby medical center.

The loyalist forces also targeted the city of Khan Sheikhoun with a similar shelling, destroying public property. According to activists, no casualties among the civilians were recorded.

Since early July, the loyalist forces have targeted the Jisr al-Shughur areas with continuous bombings, killing a civilian and injuring eight others in Badama, despite Turkey's assurances to the people of no loyalist forces' operations in the governorate.
