Al-Hasakah - SMART

On Sunday, the Asayish security forces of the Kurdish Autonomous Administration imposed austere security measures in areas controlled by Kurdish Autonomous Administration in Eastern Syria for fear of potential explosions as the Muslim holiday Eid al-Adha approaches.

The Asayish said that they will prevent vehicles and unlicensed cars from entering through certain crossings. The Asayish will also prevent the entry of motorcycles, even military motorcycles, from 20 to 22 August.

The Asayish prevented trucks and tanks from entering from 19 to 22 August.

The Asayish posted a statement on Facebook preventing civilians and fighters from shooting under the penalty of seizing the civilians and fighters' weapons.

Days ago, local sources reported that the Asayish imposed austere security measures in al-Hasakah and checked people's identity papers to prevent a repetition of the explosions that targeted civilians in al-Hasakah during Eid in previous years.
