Unknown persons wound five civilians in shooting in Western Idlib

On Monday, unknown persons wounded five civilians in a shooting as the civilians were trying to reach the Turkish border near the city of Jisr al-Shughur in Idlib, Northern Syria.

Local activists told SMART that unknown men opened fire on a bus carrying men to reach the border and enter Turkey without documents, wounding five men. The wounded were transferred to a medical clinic.

The activists added that the shooting took place at the northern entrance to Jisr al-Shughur.

Shootings and explosions take place in the governorate of Idlib almost daily, targeting military leaders and fighters of Free Syrian Army and Islamic battalions and civilians.
