Al-Raqqa - SMART

The General Security Forces of the al-Raqqa Civil Council found a body of a young man killed with four bullets near the village of al-Abbasiyah, Northwestern al-Raqqa, Northeastern Syria.

A source from the General Security Forces reported that the body is for 17-year-old young man, Mohammad al-Safrani received four bullets in the chest area, assuming that the man was killed due to "tribal disputes."

The young man's brother said that Mohammad went missing two days earlier after he left home on a motorcycle.

Recently, several shootings and explosions targeting members of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), which control most of the al-Raqqa governorate, occurred in the area. The SDF is comprised of predominantly Kurdish multi-ethnic, Arab, and Assyrian/Syriac militias led by the Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG).
